Polaris Lance is a precision machine — every fourth headshot loads a Solar explosive round that scorches. So you headshot to charge both the knife and the Polaris explosive, throw the supercharged knife to delete a priority target, and the room burns. Aim small, hit hard.

Polaris Lance is a precision faucet: a Solar scout where precision hits return ammo and every 4 precision hits load a Solar explosive round that scorches. It rewards exactly the headshots Athrys wants, and pays its own bonus on top.

A 150-RPM Solar scout built around headshots: crits refund ammo (near-infinite uptime on a precision target) and every fourth one loads a scorching Solar explosive. It's the perfect Athrys feeder — high precision-hit rate, long range, and its own Scorch/Ignition payoff that the Solar kit amplifies.
Why this works (the mechanics)
One headshot stream, three things charge. Polaris crits charge the empowered knife (Athrys), the Perfect Fifth explosive (Polaris), and On Your Mark stacks — all from the same precision hits.
The knife is a boss-stagger nuke. Once empowered it hits hard, bounces to three targets, and stuns Unstoppable — so a priority target eats a supercharged knife while the room eats the scout.
Scorch → Ignition ad-clear. Polaris's explosive round scorches; Ember of Ashes pushes it to Ignition; Gunpowder Gamble adds a thrown Ignition. The single-target knife + AoE ignitions cover both lanes.
Radiant is element-perfect. Acrobat's Dodge + Ember of Torches keep you Radiant; +25% on Polaris and the knife both, and it pierces minor shields.
It sustains itself. Polaris crits refund its own ammo; Searing refunds melee + Firesprites; On Your Mark at max grants Restoration. Headshots pay for everything.
