Infinite-dodge unkillable — Solar ignitions + the full Tablet-of-Ruin cross-element stack
Anchor: Speedloader Slacks · Subclass: Gunslinger · Role: Infinite-dodge unkillable — Solar ignitions + the full Tablet-of-Ruin cross-element stack Sandbox: 9.7.0 · Created 2026-06-16 · from Plunderthabooty's "we broke the sandbox" Solar Hunter
A Solar Hunter — the class that's supposed to have the worst survivability in hard content — that flat-out cannot die. Infinite Restoration, Cure, Radial, plus Woven Mail, Amplified and overshields all at once, in −30 Ultimatum content, with no exotic weapon. The health bar barely moves. And the whole offense — ignitions, Bolt-Charge lightning, jolt, Unravel, Threadlings — comes off one grenade launcher and your dodge. This is Turncoat's Solar sibling: the artifact, not the subclass, is the build.

Why
Super
Blade Barrage (flexible)
Take whatever — Blade Barrage is fun post-rework; any super works since the build isn't super-reliant.
Class ability
Gambler's Dodge
Refunds melee (scales with Melee stat) — pairs with Crackshot for the infinite dodge↔melee↔ignition loop.
Movement
Triple Jump
Air control.
Melee
Knife Trick
A fan of three flaming knives — all apply scorch. Knife + dodge-scorch = an ignition.
Grenade
Healing Grenade (or any damage grenade)
Healing for an "oh no" button; swap to a damage grenade if you want more ignitions.
Aspect 1
Crackshot
Class ability fires up to 3 scorching shots at marked targets; landing all 3 cures you; damage scales with Class stat ≥100. The dodge becomes a damaging, scorching, healing ability.
Aspect 2
On Your Mark
Activating class ability → +reload + Weapons stat, stacks ×10; final blows at 10 stacks → restoration. Permanent because you dodge constantly.
Fragments
Ember of Ashesmore scorch → knife+dodge ignite
Ember of Torchespowered melee → Radiant for you and allies, +20% weapon dmg
Ember of Singeingscorch → faster class ability
Ember of EmpyreanSolar final blows extend Restoration/Radiant
Ember of Eruptionbigger ignitions, +10 Melee
Exotic — Speedloader Slacks (Legs)
Tight Fit: Dodging instantly reloads all your weapons and grants increased reload and handling to you and nearby allies. Additional dodges increase the buff and refresh the timer (max 5 stacks*). Dealing sustained damage grants class ability energy.
That last clause is the engine. Sustained weapon damage — not kills — refills your dodge, so the loop never stalls on a boss, champion or high-health target. That's the edge over Radiant Dance Machines: no kill required, so it holds up in the hardest content. (*Manifest says 5 stacks; the creator said 10 — verify.)
Why this works (the mechanics)
The dodge is the whole build, and it's functionally infinite. Speedloader refills class ability off sustained GL damage → constant dodges → constant Crackshot (damage + scorch + cure) + constant On Your Mark (reload + Weapons stat + restoration on kills) + constant melee (Gambler's refund) → constant ignitions (knife + dodge scorch, amplified by Ember of Ashes).
Six survivability layers stacked at once — the "unkillable" claim is literal: Restoration (On Your Mark kills, extended by Empyrean) · Cure (Crackshot) · Radiant (Ember of Torches, +20% damage too) · Woven Mail (Tablet's Two Shreds) · Amplified (Tablet's Flashover, +15% DR) · Overshields (≈150 Class stat on dodge). Solar Hunter's supposed weakness is erased by borrowing two other elements' defensive buffs.
One weapon + the dodge produces every offensive verb. Solar ignitions, Arc Bolt-Charge lightning + jolt, Strand Unravel spreading across packs, and Threadlings severing — all automated. The Slice GL severs 5–6 targets every time you cast your class ability (every few seconds), so the whole room stays Severed → Two Shreds Unravels them + drops a Woven Mail hotspot on any kill → Horde Shuttle spawns Threadlings → those sever more. Self-sustaining chaos.
It buffs the fireteam for free. Ember of Torches throws Radiant to nearby allies; Two Shreds' Woven Mail hotspot is a team buff. Support as a side effect of your normal loop.
Weapons
Main: a Strand weapon with Slice — the creator used Festival Flight (Aerial Denial Frame GL). Slice: casting your class ability lets the weapon Sever on hit (improved duration, ~5–6 targets) — and you cast it constantly. Run Attrition Orbs as the second perk (sustained damage → Orbs) to self-feed the orb economy. Any Slice weapon substitutes; the frame doesn't matter.
Other two slots: anti-champion only. Stun feeds Defibrillating Blast (→ Bolt Charge → Amplified); jolt covers Overload. Pick frames for Barrier/Unstoppable.
No exotic weapon needed — but Anarchy or Dragon's Breath would be ideal: their damage-over-time is "sustained damage," which auto-feeds the Speedloader dodge refill and adds ignitions/auto-reload.
Stats & armour mods (as the creator ran it)
Pure stat-stacking via font mods — no single ability needs to hit hard; the dodge is king. Gameplay spread: Melee 87 · Grenade 94 · Super 118 · Class ~150 (→ ~170 with the class font; gives overshields on dodge and powers Crackshot's ≥100 scaling) · Weapons 148 (+~50 more while On Your Mark is active).
Helmet: Super Font ×2 (+40 Super) · Harmonic Siphon (orbs on Strand double-kills — match it to your main weapon's element).
Gauntlets: Melee Font ×2 (+40 Melee) · Grenade Font (+20 Grenade).
Chest: Arc + Solar + Void Resistance (the flat-DR layer under the buffs).
Class item: Powerful Attraction (dodge vacuums Orbs) · Class Font (+20 Class) · Reaper (after dodge, next weapon kill spawns an extra Orb).
Set bonus — none (creator ran none)
Played with no set bonus at all — every cross-element buff comes from the artifact, not from gear. The cleanest possible proof of the house rule that sets are garnish, never the driver.
Artifact — Tablet of Ruin (Episode: Heresy) — not Queensfoil
The whole thesis: ignore the "conventional" Solar artifacts (Hunter's Journal, Queensfoil Censer) and take the one with no Solar tag — because it supplies the buffs Solar Hunter actually lacks. Same artifact as Turncoat (Void) and Thunderbolt God (Arc); here it carries Arc + Strand onto Solar:
Strand (the Woven Mail engine): Two Shreds (sustained damage to Severed → Unravel; Severed kills → a Woven Mail hotspot, ~10–15 s, for allies too) · Horde Shuttle (damaging Unravelled targets → Threadlings that Sever) · Unraveling Orbs (Orb pickup → Strand Unravelling Rounds).
See `hunter_turncoat.md` — same artifact philosophy on Void. The creator's point: "a ton of builds like this can be made on all three classes." The artifact is the common thread.
The loop
"Very chaotic to watch, very simple at its core": shoot the GL → dodge → (throw Knife Trick) → shoot → dodge. The dodge fires Crackshot (scorch + cure + reload), the GL damage refills the dodge, the knife + dodge scorch ignites, and the Slice + Strand mods spread Sever/Unravel/Woven Mail/Threadlings automatically. Optionally grenade or swap to your champion weapons. Repeat forever.
