Exotic — Balance of Power (Leg Armor) + Euphony (Energy)
Slot correction: Balance of Power is Leg Armor, not Chest (manifest `exotics.md`, under "## Hunter Exotic Armour"). The build is unchanged; only the armour slot label is corrected from the original premise.
Dual-exotic (one armour + one weapon is legal). Balance of Power — Double Down: your Threaded Specter gains +50% damage resistance (bypassed by your damage), +34% duration, and 2 Perched Threadlings; standing within 15 m of the Specter grants Hidden (off radar). Perched Threadlings release when the Specter takes 40 damage, and destroying the Specter dumps both at once (Clarity). Cost: casting your class ability decreases class-ability regen by 50% for 19 s (Clarity) — so the build leans on a high Class stat to keep Specters flowing.
Euphony (Strand Linear Fusion, Special ammo) — Unwound: precision kills spawn a Threadling, and landing 6 hits within ~3 s spawns 3 Threadlings at the target (Clarity; hit progress persists through stow). Spindle (exotic trait): every threadling that deals damage grants a stack — +2% weapon damage per stack, max 25 = +50% Euphony damage, refreshed by weapon hits (Clarity). Catalyst Enlightened Action: dealing damage improves reload + handling. So the swarm Balance of Power produces is exactly the fuel Euphony's Spindle consumes, and Unwound re-seeds it — a closed loop.
Why this works (the mechanics)
The Specter is a threadling battery, not just a decoy. Double Down stacks +50% DR + 34% duration + 2 Perched Threadlings onto it. The Perched pair release at 40 damage taken, and the aspect's native detonation throws more when it dies or enemies close — so one dodge = a cluster of threadlings without spending the grenade.
Threadling damage ramps the LFR. Each threadling hit feeds Spindle: +2%/stack to +50% Euphony damage, refreshed by weapon hits (Clarity). The swarm passively winds the rifle to its ceiling before the boss phase — you don't grind stacks by hand, the Specter and grenade do it.
Euphony refills its own fuel.Unwound (precision kill → 1 Threadling; 6 hits in ~3 s → 3 Threadlings) plus Thread of Rebirth (Strand final blow → chance of a Threadling) mean firing Euphony produces the threadlings that produce its Spindle stacks. Consumer and supplier are the same weapon.
Tangles convert the overflow. Rapid Strand/threadling kills drop Tangles; Whirling Maelstrom turns each destroyed Tangle into a roaming Strand mass that damages and emits Unravel projectiles. Unraveled targets then feed the artifact's Horde Shuttle (spawns more Threadlings) — the swarm regenerates itself two ways.
The artifact is built for a linear fusion.Particle Reconstruction refills Euphony's magazine from reserves and grants bonus damage on sustained fire to a single target — the standard LFR boss-DPS multiplier — and Elemental Supercharger turns severed-target Strand kills back into Silkstrike energy. Tablet of Ruin's theme literally lists Linear Fusion.
You vanish while the Specter eats aggro. Within 15 m of the Specter you're Hidden (off radar) and its +50% DR makes it the thing enemies shoot. That aggro-soak is the build's survivability in place of a damage-resist exotic.
Weapons
Energy: Euphony (Exotic Strand Linear Fusion, Special) — the boss weapon and the swarm seeder. Manifest-verified: Strand / Special / no intrinsic Champion breaker (`weapon_facts.md`). Particle Reconstruction + Spindle (+50%) + a high Weapons stat is where the boss damage lives.
Kinetic: flex add-clear primary — a Kinetic Tremors / add-sweeping hand cannon or SMG to clear chaff and farm Special bricks while Euphony reloads. Player choice; not load-bearing.
Heavy: flex Strand weapon with Hatchling (e.g. a Strand LMG/GL — precision kills spawn a Threadling) to pile more bodies into the swarm. The artifact's Gold From Lead funnels your Special-ammo (Euphony) pickups into Heavy ammo, so the Strand heavy stays fed.
Champion coverage: Tablet of Ruin carries no anti-Champion mod (project data). Cover Unstoppable + Overload via Suspend — swap Threadling Grenade → Shackle Grenade (or run Ensnaring Slam). Barrier has no intrinsic answer here; Euphony's burst breaks the shield by raw damage but won't stun the recharge, so bring an anti-Barrier flex or lean on the team. Alt: run Implement of Curiosity instead (its Pack Tactics makes threadlings stun Unstoppable) if you want threadling-native Champion stun — at the cost of Particle Reconstruction's LFR DPS.
Stats & archetypes
Class → Weapons → Grenade → Super → dump Health/Melee. Class leads because Double Down halves class-ability regen for 19 s per cast — you want a high Class floor (target ~130, hard floor 100) just to keep Threaded Specters online. Weapons is the LFR damage + Special-brick stat (push it high — that's Euphony's boss output, stacked under Spindle + Particle Reconstruction). Grenade keeps the Threadling Grenade looping (Thread of Generation + Thread of Ascent assist). Super is moderate (Elemental Supercharger refunds it anyway). Health/Melee dumped. Treat the numbers as planner targets — run `stat_optimiser.py --validate` / `my_stats.py` to fit them to real armour.
Set bonus (none required)
No set bonus is needed — the economy comes from the Specter, the artifact, and the Strand verbs, not a set. A 4pc that adds Strand weapon damage or grenade regen is free garnish but never the driver; run whatever armour hits the stat plan.

Tablet of Ruin is the only artifact themed for Linear Fusion + Strand + Threadling + Tangle. Particle Reconstruction is the Euphony boss-DPS engine (mag-refill from reserves + bonus sustained damage). Horde Shuttle is the threadling fountain (damage unraveled targets → spawn Threadlings, which sever). Unraveling Orbs gives Euphony Unravelling Rounds off Orbs/Tangles → those unraveled targets feed Horde Shuttle. Vile Weave severs Tangle-hit targets and cuts the Tangle cooldown on pickup → more Whirling Maelstrom + more severed kills. Elemental Supercharger turns severed Strand kills into Silkstrike energy. Elemental Siphon makes Strand pickups off Strand kills, and Gold From Lead converts your Special-ammo pickups into Heavy for the Strand flex. Alt T3:To Shreds (severed → unravel + Woven Mail) over Elemental Supercharger if you want survivability over Super uptime.

Premise adapted (grounded in project data): (1) Balance of Power is Leg Armor, not Chest. (2) Euphony's stacking trait is Spindle (+2%/stack, max 25 = +50%), not "Sin and Punishment" — that name does not appear anywhere in the encyclopedia/catalysts/weapon data. The threadling-spawn frame is Unwound. The core thesis (Specter → Perched Threadlings → swarm feeds the LFR → Tangles + Whirling Maelstrom convert it) holds exactly; only the trait names and armour slot are corrected.
