Centerpiece: Cryosthesia 77K (Sidearm · Primary · Stasis) · Subclass: Revenant (Stasis Hunter) · Role: Self-freezing primary sidearm that shatters its own targets for burst damage and mag feedback Sandbox: 9.7.0 · Updated 2026-07-03

A primary sidearm that makes its own crowd control. Land a kill, swap to LN2 mode, and the next charged shot freezes the target — then you shatter it with the same gun for a damage burst, and the catalyst refills the mag off the shatter. The whole loop lives inside one weapon. Mask of Bakris stacks a Stasis damage buff on top and refunds your class ability on the freeze-kill, so the shift, the freeze, and the shatter all pay each other back.

The weapon

Intrinsic — LN2 Burst: [Alternate Weapon Action] : Swap firing mode after a final blow to enable a charged shot.

Catalyst — Cold Efficiency: Shattering a frozen target refills this weapon's magazine from reserves.

Cryosthesia 77K is a 260 RPM Stasis primary sidearm. Land a final blow, then press [Alternate Weapon Action] to enter LN2 mode — the next shot becomes a charged Stasis burst that freezes the target it lands on (and clips nearby foes). That charged shot spends a chunk of the mag. You then shatter the frozen target — with this same gun's rounds, a melee, or any Stasis source — and the catalyst refunds the spent mag straight from reserves. The cost of freezing is repaid the instant you cash the freeze in. Because it is a primary, ammo is effectively unlimited; the only gate is "do I have a kill to arm LN2," which a Stasis add-clear subclass supplies constantly. It is a control primary that clears rooms, not a single-target DPS tool.

SubclassRevenant (Stasis Hunter)Freeze/shatter is the whole identity; supplies the kills that arm LN2 and the shatter sources the catalyst wants.
SuperSilence and SquallTwo Stasis kamas — Silence freezes a pack, Squall is a roaming storm; free freezes to shatter, and it keeps the Bakris/Hedrons buffs live.
Class abilityGambler's DodgeBakris converts Dodge into the cloaking Shift that arms the Stasis weapon buff; Gambler's near enemies also refunds melee.
MovementTriple JumpAir control to line up the next LN2 charged shot or a Shatterdive.
MeleeWithering BladeStasis shuriken — slows, and shatters frozen targets to trigger the catalyst when you don't want to spend a charged shot.
GrenadeDuskfield GrenadeWith Touch of Winter it seeds a crystal and a wider slow field — easy freeze fuel plus a crystal to shatter for shard/grenade regen.
Aspect 1Touch of WinterEnhances Duskfield/Glacier/Coldsnap — the Duskfield seeds a Stasis crystal on cast, manufacturing freezes and shatter targets for free.
Aspect 2Grim HarvestFrozen/slowed kills drop Stasis shards; picking them up grants Frost Armor (DR) and feeds Whisper of Bonds/Conduction.
FragmentsWhisper of Rending, Whisper of Fissures, Whisper of Bonds, Whisper of Hedrons, Whisper of ConductionRending is the single most important line for a primary shatter gun — see below.
Exotic armourMask of Bakris (Helmet)Stacking Stasis weapon-damage buff after the Shift; weapon kills with the buff active refund class-ability energy → the Dodge that re-arms the buff.
WeaponsNo Time to Explain (Kinetic Pulse) + Conditional Finality (Stasis/Solar Shotgun)NTTE returns rounds vs Stasis-slowed/frozen targets (Cryosthesia freezes, it never reloads); Conditional Finality freezes on hit AND stuns Unstoppable — the build's champion answer.

Why it works (the mechanics)

Stats & mods

Weapons 200 → Class → Health. Weapons is pure PvE damage stacked on top of Bakris + Rending + Surges; Class feeds the Dodge that arms the Bakris Shift; Health rides on Frost Armor + Hedrons, so it is the dump stat.

Archetype lean: a Weapons/Class helmet (Bakris) with gunner-favoured arms and legs.

Mods:

Artifact — Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel

The Stasis artifact, built for exactly this loop: it converts Stasis weapon hits and shatters into Frost Armor and Stasis Shards, then pays those shards back as class-ability energy to re-arm the Bakris Dodge. Champion coverage stays bought (Conditional Finality's Unstoppable + freeze); the artifact's job is to thicken the freeze → shatter → shard economy.

All 15 sockets used, 10 energy per masterworked piece; costs from the manifest. Core mods are the build's engine; fill mods are strong defaults — swap freely (chest resists should match the activity's damage types). Flex/loadout-dependent: matched to Cryosthesia's element. - **Anti-Champion:** none needed on Cryosthesia itself — Conditional Finality provides Unstoppable; add an Overload/Barrier frame in the third slot if the activity demands it.
