Salvation's Grip — Cryocannon (Hunter)

Crystal-spam crowd control + Unstoppable stun + Frost Armor tank
✓ Manifest Stasis · Heavy · 120 RPM · Overload

Weapon: Salvation's Grip (Grenade Launcher · Heavy · Stasis) · Subclass: Revenant (Stasis) · Role: Crystal-spam crowd control + Unstoppable stun + Frost Armor tank Sandbox: 9.7.0 · Created 2026-06-16

Hold the trigger, paint a wall of Stasis crystals across the room, and freeze everything standing in it. Salvation's Grip is the only weapon that builds your subclass's battlefield for you — every charged shot is a free crystal field and a free freeze. On Revenant that means the gun and the subclass are the same verb, the catalyst pays you Frost Armor for shattering your own crystals, and the archetype stun is Unstoppable baked into Stasis itself. Bakris turns the whole thing into a stacking damage buff. Freeze, shatter, tank, repeat.

The weapon

Cryocannon (verbatim): "[Shoot] : Hold to charge; release to fire. This weapon's charged projectiles create a pattern of Stasis crystals on impact and freeze nearby targets. Strong against [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions."

Catalyst — Rimestealer (verbatim): "Destroying a Stasis crystal or defeating a frozen target with this weapon grants you Frost Armor."

What it does: charge-and-release fires a spread that plants a field of Stasis crystals and freezes anything nearby — it is a crowd-control primary action disguised as a Heavy. The crystals are ammo for every shatter interaction in the Stasis kit (Shatterdive, Fissures, Diamond-Lance-tier bursts), and the freeze is a hard stop. With the catalyst, the weapon feeds its own survivability: shatter a crystal or kill a frozen target → Frost Armor (stacking DR). It is intrinsically strong against Unstoppable — in 9.7.0, Stasis shatter is the Unstoppable stun, so the gun's whole job (make crystals, shatter them) is the stun.

SubclassRevenant (Stasis Hunter)The gun makes crystals + freezes; the subclass is built entirely around shattering crystals + freezing. Same verb, two sources.
SuperSilence and SquallSilence freezes a pack for the Grip to shatter; Squall is a roaming freeze/slow storm — wall-to-wall Stasis.
Class abilityGambler's DodgeMelee back near enemies → keep Withering Blade for extra freezes/slows between charges.
MovementTriple JumpAir time to line up Shatterdive over a fresh crystal field.
MeleeWithering BladeRicochet shuriken slows/freezes — tops up the frozen-target count for the Grip and the catalyst.
GrenadeDuskfieldPulls targets into a slow well → cluster them, then Grip the cluster into crystals + freeze. (Glacier if you want manual crystals to shatter on demand.)
Aspect 1Winter's Shroud (2 frag)Dodge slows nearby targets → cheap freeze setup + 2 fragment slots.
Aspect 2Grim Harvest (2 frag)Picking up Stasis shards grants Frost Armor; while you have it, Stasis/Kinetic kills may shatter for AoE, and taking damage feeds class-ability energy. Stacks the DR wall and chips the crowd. 2 more fragment slots (4 total).
Fragments (4 slots)

Exotic armour — Mask of Bakris (Helmet): Light Shift: "While you have a Stasis or Arc Super equipped, your Dodge becomes a longer range, faster moving shift that partially cloaks you during use. After shifting, your Stasis and Arc weapons gain a stacking damage bonus for a short time. Final blows with this bonus active refund class ability energy." With Silence and Squall equipped, every dodge buffs Salvation's Grip's Stasis damage, and frozen-target kills refund the dodge — a self-sustaining damage-up loop layered on top of the freeze/shatter engine.

Stats & mods

Health → Class → Weapons, with Super respectable. Health stacks under the Frost Armor DR for a genuinely tanky frontline. Class fuels the Bakris/Winter's-Shroud dodge loop (the build's engine). Weapons adds PvE damage on top of the Bakris stack.
