One Fusion Rifle that is whatever grenade you hold. Tessellation's bolts take your grenade's element, its final blows pour grenade and Transcendence energy back into you, and its catalyst sprays that element on the next pack. Because the gun's damage type always equals your grenade, it is the only weapon in the game that procs Verity's Brow on every kill, by definition. The fantasy is a closed loop: throw grenade → it loads a bolt that kills → kill refunds grenade → throw again, while Transcendence ticks up the whole time.
The weapon
Property: Undecidable (exotic perk, verbatim): "This [weapon|instrument|topology] adapts its damage type to match your equipped grenade. Final blows grant grenade and Transcendence energy."
Property: Irreducible ([Alternate Weapon Action], verbatim): "Consume your grenade to load a large [projectile|shape|language] that generates an elemental explosion on impact and deals increased damage while Transcendence is active."
Catalyst — Property: Unavoidable (verbatim): "Targets near the blast of Property: Irreducible are [afflicted|burdened|cursed] with an elemental effect matching your equipped grenade's damage type."
What it does: Tessellation is a Special-ammo Fusion Rifle whose element is set by your equipped grenade — slot an Arc grenade and it fires Arc, a Stasis grenade and it fires Stasis, etc. Two firing modes. Normal trigger: a standard Fusion burst in your grenade's element; final blows feed grenade energy + Transcendence energy. Alternate fire ([AWA]): consume the whole grenade to load one oversized bolt that detonates in an elemental explosion (bonus damage while transcendent). With the catalyst, that explosion debuffs nearby targets with your grenade's element (scorch / jolt / volatile / slow-freeze / sever / suppress, per the grenade). The build's job is to make every kill a Tessellation kill so Undecidable's grenade refund and Verity's grenade bonus never stop.

Airborne class-ability burst that amplifies + jolts (an AoE add-softener) and is a strong Transcendence/ability feeder; 9.7.0 Hunter staple. (Swap to Stylish Executioner if you want invis sustain — the catalyst's elemental debuff procs it on every blast kill.)
Fragments (Prismatic Hunter):
Facet of Courage — Arc/Solar/Void abilities deal +damage to Darkness-debuffed targets; the catalyst's own debuff sets this up. [+10 Grenade]
Facet of Generosity — transcendent kills make Orbs for allies (Tessellation kills are the orbs).
Facet of Bravery — grenade final blows grant Volatile Rounds to Void weapons / powered-melee kills grant Unraveling to Strand — turns the AWA grenade-bolt into a weapon-buff source for your secondary.
Facet of Honor — collecting an Elemental pickup / destroying a Tangle grants matching Transcendence energy (Grapple + orbs feed this). [+10 Melee]
Facet of Hope — class ability regenerates faster while you hold an elemental buff (you always do).
Exotic armour — Verity's Brow (Helmet):"Weapon final blows with a damage type matching your grenade grant Death Throes, which provide a grenade damage bonus and grant you grenade energy. When you have Death Throes and throw a grenade, nearby allies gain greatly increased grenade regeneration for a short time." Tessellation's damage type is defined as matching your grenade, so every Tessellation kill grants a stack of Death Throes — no other weapon procs Verity's this reliably.
Other two weapon slots:
Primary (Kinetic): any add-clear primary for ammo economy when Tessellation is dry — a Rewind Rounds / Subsistence auto or pulse keeps you shooting so the grenade loop stays fed (Special ammo is finite).
Heavy: a Machine Gun or a boss-DPS Linear Fusion / Rocket for what the Golden Gun and grenade loop don't personally execute.
Why this works (the mechanics)
Tessellation is the only weapon that always procs Verity's Brow. Verity triggers on weapon kills "with a damage type matching your grenade." Undecidable makes the gun's damage type identically equal to your grenade — so the condition is permanently true. Each kill = a Death Throes stack = grenade-damage bonus + grenade energy. The gun pays for the grenade Verity wants you to throw.
Two independent grenade-refund sources stack on the same kill. Undecidable returns grenade energy on final blow; Verity's Death Throes returns grenade energy on final blow. One Tessellation kill credits both, so the grenade you spend on an [AWA] bolt comes back fast — you can fire elemental-explosion bolts far more often than the base grenade cooldown allows.
Transcendence fills from two directions at once. Undecidable grants Transcendence energy on every kill, and on Prismatic both Light and Dark bars tick. Facet of Honor (Tangles/orbs) and Facet of Generosity (transcendent kills → orbs → more Honor energy) keep the meter climbing. While transcendent, the [AWA] bolt deals increased damage — so you spike your damage exactly when the resource the gun built is online.
The catalyst turns the bolt into team debuff + Facet of Courage fuel. Property: Unavoidable afflicts everything near the blast with the grenade's elemental effect. That's free add CC (scorch/jolt/slow/etc.) and it applies a Darkness debuff when you run a Stasis/Strand grenade — which Facet of Courage converts into +ability damage. The gun debuffs the pack the grenade then nukes.
Element is a choice, not a constraint. Want jolt add-clear? Arc grenade. Want freeze/slow control? Stasis grenade. Want Tangle/Grapple mobility and Facet-of-Honor feed? Strand grenade. The build's skeleton (Verity + Undecidable + Transcendence) is element-agnostic; you retune the verb to the activity by swapping one grenade.
Gunpowder Gamble keeps the grenade slot free. The loop needs a grenade loaded for the gun to read; Gunpowder Gamble gives you a second, kill-charged explosive so you still throw "ability damage" without spending the grenade Tessellation depends on.
Stats & mods
Grenade 200 → Weapons 100+ → Class. Grenade is the whole economy (loop + Verity bonus scales the grenade); Weapons lifts Tessellation's PvE damage; Class keeps Gambler's/Ascension online for Transcendence feed. Use stat-tuning to dump Super or Health for more Grenade/Weapons.
Mods (armour combat-style — names per current sandbox; see Verify notes):
Helmet: Harmonic/Kinetic Siphon matching your Tessellation element (kills → Orbs, feeding Honor/Generosity) · Ashes to Assets (Super on grenade kills).
Gauntlets: Grenade Kickstart ×2 (Armor Charge → instant grenade chunk on cast — shortens the loop further) · Heavy Handed if running Combination Blow.
Chest: elemental resistances of your choice (build has no innate DR).
Boots:Surge ×2 matching your chosen Tessellation/grenade element (≈+17% weapon damage straight onto the gun) · Bomber (grenade on dodge).
Class item: Bolstering Detonation (grenade damage → class energy) · Distribution (near enemies, ability use refunds all abilities) · Grenade Font.
Stat tuning: +Grenade/−Super, +Weapons/−Health — the build leans on the gun and the grenade, not its Super or raw survivability.
Mod note: match every surge/siphon to whichever element your grenade sets — if you rebuild around an Arc grenade, the gun is Arc, so run Arc surges and an Arc-orb siphon.
Where it shines
Add-clear / matchmade & legend content: the grenade↔gun↔Transcendence loop is self-sustaining and the catalyst blast is constant AoE debuff. Low-stress, high-uptime.
Champions: Tessellation does not carry an archetype champion stun on its own. Cover it with the artifact mod Stunning Fusion (ADS a Fusion/LFR for a moment → loads an Unstoppable-stun payload). Run Stunning Fusion and Tessellation is your Unstoppable answer; pair a Barrier/Overload weapon (or Ascension's jolt + grenade slows) for the other two. Without that artifact mod, treat champions as a secondary's job.
Boss/DPS: secondary — burst the [AWA] bolt while transcendent for an elemental spike, then Golden Gun: Marksman. Real boss damage lives in your Heavy slot.
Endgame survivability is thin by design (no Devour/overshield core) — lean on Gambler's repositioning, Ascension amplify, and the catalyst's CC to stay safe.
